The Maritime Low Emission Network (MarLEN),GCE Ocean Technology, Forum Oceano, Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique, MSE International, EO4MI Project, AI4COPSEC Project and BLUEACTIONAA Project, are pleased to announce a joint networking and brokerage event dedicated to accelerating the decarbonisation of the waterborne sector through blue economy innovations. The online event will take place on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, from 4:00 to 5:30 pm CEST via Microsoft Teams, and will bring together key actors from across the maritime innovation ecosystem.
Co‑organised by MarLEN — a Horizon Europe project supporting international research and innovation collaboration for maritime decarbonisation — and many Maritime Clusters and Flagship Projects, the event will connect actors working on waterborne decarbonization and blue economy innovations.
Participants will have the opportunity to get to know the services, opportunities, and support actions offered by diverse clusters and networks and to establish strategic contact.
The programme will open with an introduction to the MarLEN project and an overview of the event, setting the scene for collaboration opportunities in the blue economy.
This will be followed by a pitching session featuring Clusters and European projects, presenting funding opportunities, support services, and concrete initiatives to accelerate decarbonisation through blue economy innovation.
Contributions from organisations such as GCE Ocean Technology, Forum Oceano, Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique, and several European projects will provide participants with insights into available services and instruments, and collaboration pathways at European level.
To foster targeted exchange and partnership building, the event will conclude with interactive networking sessions in three moderated thematic rooms focusing on metocean forecasting to support marine operations and planning, digital spaces for stakeholder collaboration and knowledge exchange, funding opportunities and cooperation mechanisms for a sustainable, carbon-neutral and circular blue economy.
These sessions are designed to facilitate dialogue, identify synergies, and stimulate the development of future project ideas and consortia.
