We are proud to officially launch MarLEN – Horizon Europe, an ambitious HorizonEurope project bringing together 14 ministries, funding bodies and research organisations across 10 European countries to accelerate the decarbonisation of waterborne transport in Europe.
Coordinated by Forschungszentrum Jülich, MarLEN will focus on strengthening European maritime and inland waterway research by fostering synergies between national and regional research programmes, in line with the objectives of the Zero-Emission Waterborne Transport partnership.
The kick-off meeting, held in Brussels, gathered all partners (full list below 👇) and representatives from the European Commission to launch the project’s activities and define its priorities and strategic direction.
Follow our journey over the next 54 months, as we:
🔹Launch and coordinate joint funding initiatives
🔹Facilitate knowledge sharing across programmes, networks and stakeholders
🔹Address key environmental and climate challenges in the waterborne sector
🔹Build a self-sustaining European network of ministries and funding bodies
