On 29 April 2026, MarLEN, the BlueTech Cluster Alliance (BTCA), and GREENET co-organised the first Joint Networking and Brokerage Event, surpassing the attendance KPI of 70 with 93 participants drawn from shipping companies, ports, technology providers, research organisations, clusters, and investors.
Programme highlights:
- An opening session introduced the MarLEN project and the BlueTech Cluster Alliance, followed by an overview of key funding and collaboration opportunities, including the MarLEN 2nd transnational call, Horizon Europe Cluster 5, and the Eurogia Cluster for Low Carbon Technologies
- A dynamic pitching session combined reverse pitches from end-users outlining real-world challenges and needs, with innovation pitches from SMEs and start-ups showcasing emerging technologies and business models for green shipping
- Four moderated thematic networking rooms facilitated targeted matchmaking on AI and digital energy solutions, zero-emission vessel design and retrofitting, ports as decarbonisation platforms, and onboard renewable energy solutions
- The event closed with a plenary Q&A session moderated by APRE
